During our May 2025 seminar in Fairlee, Vermont we came across Groton Tanker 1 (1250 gpm/2500) and got to use it during the 2-hr water shuttle drill that culminated our 16-hr Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar hosted by the Fairlee VFD and sponsored by the Upper Valley Mutual Aid Association. Tanker 1 was set-up perfectly to support a rural hitch operation if needed or to serve as a draft source pumper depending on the operation. At the 2-hr drill, Tanker 1 spent time hauling water after serving as the 1st arriving tanker at the rural hitch operation. The tanker had no problem supporting the 500 gpm pump off rate during the early part of the operation. We always enjoy seeing and working with front mount pump rigs in the rural areas of America.
