July was a busy month for us and dry fire hydrant installations. We finished up a third one for the month in Harford County, Maryland....this time in the Whiteford area. The installation used our angle-mount design on the T631 guard rail posts and produced a flow in excess of 1000 gpm during the installation performance flow test. Lift at the location was 11-ft on test day; elevation was recorded as 270 feet. The system used an ETT suction head and a Kochek suction strainer.
Lift at the location measured 11-ft on the day of the flow test.
The flowtest produced a flow in excess of 1,000 gpm.
The suction head used was an ETT 6-inch NH female with a polymer plug.
Plenty of water available at this bridge crossing over Deep Creek.
