During our May 2023 seminar in Catawba County, North Carolina we came across Mountain View FD's Tanker 126, a 1500-gallon/500 gpm rig built by Anchor-Richey EVS, a local apparatus builder in North Carolina. Built on a 2020 Freightliner M2-106 chassis, the smaller tanker was very efficient in loading and unloading and did a nice job hauling water during the 2-hr water supply drill. The use of cam lock fittings on the direct fill lines really made a difference at the loading site. Tanker 126 was one of two, Anchor-Richey rigs used in the drill and both worked just fine. Always nice to see local builders produce nice products.
