Although there is no specific standard for dump tank height, most tanks from major manufacturers are typically 29 inches tall. This means the dump chute must extend past the frame of the dump tank to function correctly.

The issue of clearance often arises when a standard 10-inch square rear dump is retrofitted with a swiveling dump. In some cases, this change may position the swiveling part of the chute at or below the 29-inch height of the tank. It is essential to double-check this measurement before proceeding with any retrofits to ensure proper operation and avoid potential issues.
