Another one of those "nothing fancy" items to save the day. Not our idea or concept and we were skeptical at first to share it, but it does work pretty well in a "pinch"....(sorry). We came across the idea of using a spring clamp to hold closed a broken dump tank drain sleeve somewhere in our travels the last 18 months. We wanted to try it out some before passing the concept on to others. This year at our seminars in Fairlee, Vermont and Waverly, New York we were able to put the clamps to a bit more of a realistic test and in both instances they were easy to deploy and held in place for the duration without any adjustment needed. They do seem to work best on a square-tubing frame rather than a round-tubing frame; but we did get them to work on both type frames.

So again....not our idea...but we do like it. We tried it out and found it worthy of passing on for those crisis moments when things go awry at the dump site.
