Earlier this week we installed one of our bridge-mount dry fire hydrants on Canaan Southfield Road in the Town of New Marlborough, Massachusetts. The project was coordinated through the Town and New Marlborough Fire and Rescue and was designed to provide quick access to the Umpachene River. The installation used our angle-mount design and incorporated an ETT 6-inch female suction head and a 6-inch ETT stream strainer. Our Jericho Ice Breaker option was also included in the design to aid in breaking through thin ice during winter time operations. Lift at the location was right around 14-feet at the time of the flow test. This was our sixth, bridge mount dry fire hydrant installation in Massachusetts. |
