| Earlier this week we installed one of our bridge-mount dry fire hydrants on Mission Farm Road in Killington, Vermont. The installation was our 16th bridge-mount in the State and was funded in part by the Vermont Rural Fire Task Force and by Killington Fire and Rescue. The system used our angle-mount design, a 6-inch ETT female suction head, and a 6-inch ETT stream strainer. Lift was right around 12-feet and the flow test produced an 800 gpm flow using a TFT Blitzfire (500 gpm) and a 300 gpm handling nozzle. Killington Engine 2 (1250 gpm) was used for the flow test. Vermont has a robust, dry fire hydrant development program and we always applaud the good work done by the Rural Fire Task Force. |
