On May 11, another GBW Associates, LLC bridge-mount dry fire hydrant was installed in the Norrisville area of Harford County, Maryland. This system used an angle-mount design and was attached to the upstream side of the bridge with existing guard rail post bolts. The installation included an ETT 6-inch female suction head, an ETT 6-inch stream strainer, and approximately 12 feet of 6-inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe.

The lift measured about 11 feet, and the installation flow test reached 1,087 gallons per minute using the pre-piped deck gun on a 1,500 gpm pumper. Over the past five years, local efforts have focused on increasing access to static water supplies throughout Harford County. At present, there are more than 20 bridge-mount dry fire hydrant installations in the county.
