| We recently installed another bridge-mounted dry fire hydrant in Harford County, Maryland - this time in the Bel Air area of the County on Carrs Mill Road. The installation used our angle-mount design and an ETT 6-inch NH female suction head and a 6-inch ETT stream strainer. Lift was around 9 feet and water flow in the creek was sufficient for the drafting operations. Of special note...something a bit different....a flow of 932 gpm was achieved using 10-ft of 4-1/2-inch suction hose connected to the 1500 gpm pumper's front suction intake. The new installation is our 23rd bridge mount in Harford County. The folks there have done a really great job of planning out and improving their rural water supply access points. |
