Nothing really special here, just a couple of photos from our 2014 seminar in Port Byron, Illinois showing DeWitt (IA) FD Tender 1706....a 3000-gallon rig built by Alexis Fire Equipment located in Alexis, Illinois. Tender 1706 was fairly new at the time of the seminar and the folks did a nice job of hauling water with it during the 2-hr drill. The rear dump arrangement caught our eye so we grabbed some photos to share. Today, many Alexis tankers use the swiveling chute design made by A.H. Stock Manufacturing.
