Last weekend we had the pleasure of delivering our 16-hr Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar for the Levelland Fire Department. More than 40 folks from the Levelland and surrounding areas spent the weekend learning the best practices of hauling water with tankers and refining their water supply delivery skills. The two-hour drill culminated the seminar on Sunday afternoon. A peak flow of 800 gpm was attained before the operation had to be stopped due to a nearby water main break. Three pumpers and seven tankers (tankers and brush tankers) were used to haul water over a 1.5-mile travel route. Many thanks to the Levelland FD for the excellent logistical support and hospitality and to Reddin Black Equipment Services for provided lunch each day. Instructors for the weekend were Mark Davis and Mark Wobus.
