On October 3rd, folks from throughout the lower half of Clinton County, New York gathered in Peru to practice their water hauling skills at our 2-hr rural water supply drill. The drill was the culmination of our 16- hr Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar that was co-sponsored by the Peru and Keeseville VFDs and hosted by the Peru VFD. Eight tankers and three engines were used to support a 750 gpm flow for 2-hours using two fill sites each providing a 6.1-mile roundtrip.

Instructors for the weekend seminar were Mark Davis and Tim Legore. Many thanks to the folks at the Peru VFD for excellent logistical support! Look for a complete summary posted in a week or so.
