Another one of our bridge mount dry fire hydrant installations that we completed this Fall in Harford County, MD....this time on Thomas Run Road in Bel Air. The lift was really high at this location and required 20-feet of pipe...which is the physical limit of our design. The installation used our saddle-mount bracket design and an ETT suction head and stream strainer. When flow tested using Darlington's 1500 gpm single-stage pumper, we were able to achieve a peak flow rate of 1067 gpm...pretty impressive given the lift. Elevation at the location was 140-feet. The project was funded in part through a grant.
