Some folks in Washington County, Maryland spent their weekend refining their water hauling skills. Williamsport Volunteer Fire and EMS and the Washington County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association sponsored our 16-hr Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar on November 12th and 13th. The program was held at the Williamsport fire station and was attended by folks from the Washington County and surrounding mutual aid areas. However, the "long distance" award went to two fellas from Platte Valley Fire Protection District in Colorado!

The seminar culminated with the 2-hr water supply drill where everyone worked hard to try and deliver 500 gpm uninterrupted. Five engines and nine tankers were used in the drill. Many thanks to Williamsport Volunteer Fire and EMS for the excellent logistical support!

Our t-shirt raffle resulted in sufficient donations to allow the 50th brick to be placed in the Walk-of-Honor at the National Fallen Fire Fighters Memorial at the National Fire Academy! Way to go!!!!

A complete drill summary will be posted in a couple of weeks. Instructors for the weekend were Mark Davis and Alan Butsch.
