Jolly Farmer Fire Brigade Moves Some Big Water - Canadian Style!

On September 25th, Chief Paul Vandervalk and the folks from the Jolly Farmer Fire Brigade (New Brunswick, Canada) held their annual water supply drill and did a great job of hauling water with tankers! In October 2015, the folks at Jolly Farmer hosted our 16-hr Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar and worked on refining their water hauling skills. This year, they put those refinements to work and flowed in excess of 1,000 gpm (US) using three fewer tankers! The reason? Improved fill site operations and a larger, primary dump tank. They also were able to flow 1,600 gpm (US) out of their 30-year old 1,250 gpm pumper!

Congratulations to everyone on the Jolly Farmer Fire Brigade for the great effort and outcome. Many thanks also to the mutual aid fire companies that helped haul water and load tankers. We are glad to see "big water" operations expand in the Northampton, New Brunswick area.
