We were honored to be part of the 43rd Annual York County Fire and EMS Training School his past weekend in York County, Maine. We delivered our 16-hr Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar for a group of folks from various FDs in York County and nearby New Hampshire. Saturday's session was held at the Saco FD and Sunday's session was held in Kennebunk, Maine. The participants practiced all aspects of hauling water with tankers - including dump and fill site ops, portable pumps, Turbo Draft, open relays, and vacuum tankers. And as usual, the program culminated on Sunday with the 2-hr tanker shuttle drill. Program support was excellent - kudos to the training committee. Instructors for the weekend were Mark Davis and Tim Legore. A full summary will be posted in a week or so.
