This past weekend, (April 30th/May 1st) we had the opportunity to work with Chief Jason Smith and the folks from the Town of Linn FD as we delivered our 16-hr Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar at their facility. As always, the second day of the seminar culminated in a 2-hr tanker shuttle drill where crews worked hard to sustain a fire flow for the entire time period. The drill was held to the rear of the Linn fire station and two fill sites were used to support the operation - both involved Lake Geneva. The participants were able to develop a peak flow of 1,250 gpm during the last hour of the drill. Many thanks to the Linn FD for sponsoring and hosting the seminar. Participants were from Walworth County and the surrounding areas. Many thanks also to Firovac for providing a vacuum tanker for the weekend. A complete summary will be posted in a week or so.
