Many thanks to the Chief Brad Zimmerman and the Summit Station Fire Company in Schulykill County, Pennsylvania for sponsoring and hosting our 16-hr Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar this weekend - March 12th and 13th. More than 40 attendees (including several from Viirginia Beach, Virginia!) spent the two days reviewing the basics of rural water supply operations and refining their dump site, fill site, and tanker shuttle skills. The seminar culminated with the traditional, 2-hr tanker shuttle drill - which was cunducted at the Schulykill County Fairgrounds near the Summit Station Fire Company. Water flow during the drill peaked at 1,250 gpm. Instructors for the weekend were Mark Davis and Alan Butsch. A complete summary will be posted in a week or so.
