GBW Associates, LLC participated in the Robert Garner Foundation's Inc. inaugural, training weekend at the Houston Fire Department's Val Jahnke Training Facility.

GBW Instructors Alan Butsch, Chris Reilly and Bryan Rojtas presented a Municipal Pump Operator's Course at the HFD's academy this past weekend. The course was attended by members of the Houston FD and neighboring FDs. The class featured lectures and videos on pump components, and plenty of hands-on learning of pumps evolutions.

The Robert Garner Firefighter Foundation was founded after the line of duty death of Houston FD member Robert Garner in 2013. The Foundation is dedicated to the education and training of future and incumbent Firefighters in keeping with the dedication of its namesake. This training weekend was the inaugural offering of what is intended to be a quarterly offering of high quality training for incumbent firefighters in the Houston area. The Garner Foundation provided funding for three different training classes over the weekend, as well as food and drinks for all participants. GBW is proud and honored to have been part of this weekend and wishes to thank the Garner Foundation for it sponsorship of this class.
