We had another great time in Onondaga County, New York this past weekend (October 25/26) delivering our Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar at the Skaneateles FD. The seminar was sponsored by the Skaneateles , Mottville, and Marcellus Fire Departments and as usual, culminated in a 2-hour tanker shuttle exercise where folks worked hard to sustain a fire flow without interruption. We are pleased to report that seminar participants were able to sustain a 753 gpm average flow during the 2-hour drill! Great work! Instructors for the weekend were Mark Davis and Tom Coe.

Fol-Da-Tank Company supported the seminar by providing one of their Single Lane Tanks and several drafting appliances for participants to use during the practical exercises. At the end of the seminar, the Fol-Da-Tank items were raffled off (along with GBW prizes) to support the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation as well as the NY Fallen Firefighters Memorial. The proceeds from the raffle will fund the 37th brick in the NFFF Walk-Of-Honor from GBW seminars.

Another "special" feature of the seminar was the lunch provided on Sunday by Johnny Angels Heavenly Burgers - a renowned Skaneateles eatery known for their burgers!

We hope to post a complete summary in a couple of weeks.
