On May 21st, the folks in Shelby County, Alabama practiced their water hauling abilities during our 2-hr tanker shuttle drill. The event was the culmination of our 16-hr Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar which was held at the Pelham Civic Center and was sponsored by Shelby County EMA and the Alabama Fire College. Once again, the 1,000 gpm mark was reached as crews worked hard shuttling water with a limited number of tankers and engines over a 2-mile roundtrip.
